Since the needs of each company vary so drastically, multiple samples of functionality and design have been provided below. There are no limits to what can be done with a few good ideas and a lot of time and effort.

Orpheum Theatre

The Orpheum Theatre was in need of a new website on which they could sell tickets for films showing in the Madison state street theatre. I provided a web solution with a shopping cart and full site administration panel.

Stay Tuned Audio is a car customization shop in Waukesha. I was approached by a web design company to step in as a subcontractor and complete the project, considering the slightly complicated interface requirements.

Infinity Martial Arts

Infinity Martial Arts

Infinity Martial Arts is business that teaches martial arts in Middleton, WI. The schools owner, Mike Welch, needed a website on which to provide class schedules, program information, media, and a simple means of contact. The website also needed to be expandable for later modification and implementation of a back-end area where students would be able to log in and access curriculums, books, etc. The back-end will likely have another feature set for the parents of students, allowing them to access information specific to their child.

The website was built all in PHP with a design created in Adobe Photoshop.

Lot 74

Lot 74

Lot 74 plays alternative & punk rock in Madison, WI. For their website, they needed a basic structure including informational biography pages, media pages, and facilitate contacts from any visitor to the website.

The site was rolled out in PHP with a custom menu for each page designed in Adobe Photoshop.

PFS Corporation

PFS Corporation performs third-party plan review and testing for the manufactured and mobile housing industry. PFS Corporation previously had a web-presence, but it was in desparate need of upgrades in both functionality, content, and design. In addition, the company had a need for a web-based project management utility, which would allow them to provide faster service to clients and faclilitate project management, live reporting and record-keeping in-house.

The public website was rolled out in PHP, with a login providing access to the web application which is currently under furthur development.

Transparent Acoustics

Transparent Acoustics

Transparent Acoustics is a company that designs and builds clear speaker boxes (all plexiglass enclosures) for cars. The most important thing to think about when making a website for a small business is product/service exposure. This site needed to have as much product exposure as possible, encouraging potential customers to send e-mails or contact directly by phone. Photos of the enclosures were included to allow customers to see a preview of what they can expect if they order a box from Transparent Acoustics.

The final site was published in PHP/MySQL with a custom layout created in Adobe Photoshop. The site included 3 contact forms to facilitate fast, efficient contact by potential clients.

World Class Flags

World Class Flags

World Class Flags is a flag company based in Reedsburg, WI. Their needs included the ability to add, edit, and remove categories and products. In addition, the shopping cart was custom designed and developed, including the checkout and order retrieval system.

The final site was implemented in PHP and MySQL with a back-end. The design was originally created using Adobe Photoshop CS2.

Sally Jacobs of Jacob's Archival Services came to me with needs to redesign/develop the company site to use more current programming with built-in functionality to change content and monitor correspondence.

The Kenya Connection

The Kenya Connection is a non-profit organization that brings products from Kenya to sell in the US. Funds generated are sent back to Kenya to aid in several different humanitarian efforts. The site had to have the ability to show products and provide the ability to order them.

The site was rolled out in PHP/MySQL.

311 Flag Rescue Project

311 Flag Rescue Project

The 311 Flag Rescue Project is an initiative to earn donations that will aid in preserving two 150 year-old flags that flew over a fire department building (Local 311) in Madison. The needs were simple for this project, and budget was drastically adjusted considering the site was for a non-profit cause.

The site was implemented in XHTML/CSS compliant pages with a contact form.

Liberty Flag & Specialty Company

Liberty Flag & Specialty Company

Liberty Flag & Specialty Company is a flag company in Reedsburg. The website needed to be a portal to the companys two sales websites (World Class Flags and World Class Christmas). Additional features included a blog, a lot of pictures and informational pages, and a means of contacting Liberty.

The site was rolled out in PHP/MySQL, and was later rolled-back.

Membership Solutions, Inc.

Membership Solutions came to me with a need for a very simple website. They provided content and I created a custom PHP site.

The site was implemented in PHP on the provided server. The site stayed up for one year and the hosting expired and has not yet been renewed.

Team Two By Four

Team Two By Four

Team Two By Four is made up of a family that takes hikes in New Jersey and review them, rate them based on difficulty, scenery, etc. The solution they needed had to provide information about hikes, and give them the ability to upload photos to directories that coule be automatically parsed in PHP to display a photo album for each individual hike.

The site was rolled out in PHP in 2005.

Salty Dog Consulting Solutions

Salty Dog Consulting Solutions

Run by an IT consultant in Madison, WI, Salty Dog Solutions provides businesses both small and large technology solutions. This project was only a web design project, requiring that I create a design and slice the images for use on the web. Programming was to be completed by Salty Dog Solutions themselves.

As part of the agreement, I provided a PSD layout, sliced into a template to be replicated and used by them.

Mountain Faith Church

Mountain Faith Church

Mountain Faith Church is a ministry in Reedsburg, WI. The need was for a PHP website with an integrated online store where they could collect donations in exchange for select merchandise. The solution included a PHP website with a custom-developed shopping cart, product catalog, and checkout procedure. It also had built-in contact and request forms that sent directly from the site.

The final website was rolled out in 2006.
