About James Pederson
My name is James Pederson. I am a freelance web developer based in Madison, Wisconsin. I’ll begin by explaining some aspects of my upbringing that inspired me to take the professional and personal path I have chosen.
Growing into Web Design
As a child growing up in Madison’s east side, I was raised in a relatively traditional manner, with a few more rules than my peers. Though I despised it at the time of course, the environment I grew up in has ironically guided me toward my career in web technologies. After graduating from La Follette High School, I jumped straight into the workforce at a programming job in downtown Madison, which eventually led into another job in Reedsburg, WI where I developed websites to sell flags and other memorabilia.
After leaving Liberty Flag & Specialty Company, I moved onto a position at PFS Corporation in Cottage Grove, WI. At PFS, my focus was primarily on the company’s internal web application, developed from scratch in PHP/MySQL. Through classes at Madison Area Technical College and a lot of research, I was able to become proficient in PHP/MySQL, enabling me to add another dimension to my services, and provide a more comprehensive solution to clients.
Recent Development
After leaving PFS, I was primarily earning money through freelancing and working on my own. On January 28th, I started a job at Magna Publications, a higher education marketing group located on the north side of Madison. So far the job has been great. The modern vision and innovative ideas of the organization should produce great advances in the coming months, so keep updated at Magna’s Website.
